The South Dakota Cattleman’s Foundation will present its 5th annual Downtown Burger Battle in Sioux Falls throughout the month of January. During the Burger Battle, customers at participating restaurants can taste and score a variety of unique burgers. How unique? The #OnlyInMN monument is made up of life-size letters that travel around the state of Minnesota, promoting its treasured landmarks. In January, the monument will appear in front of Stillwater’s Ice Castles, a festive, seasonal attraction that glistens at night. The glistening Ice Castles and the illuminated #OnlyInMN monument will make for an Instagram-worthy photo opportunity that celebrates all things local. What better way to warm up this winter than with a sizzling bowl of soup or chili? On Souper Saturday, the streets of downtown Claremore will play host to soup and chili tastings. For one night, the California coast will transform into a winter wonderland. In San Luis Obispo, Snow Night will feature a sledding hill and play area for children – even if the forecast looks mild.
