Magnolia Festival of Oklahoma

Known as the City of Magnolias, Durant, Oklahoma, has hosted the state’s Magnolia Festival for more than two decades. This year’s celebration will include an outdoor carnival, farmers market, 5k race and fireworks. Besides the fireworks, the festival will go out with a bang thanks to the downtown After-Glow party, featuring a DJ, glow-in-the-dark games, food trucks and more. Frederick Wine Festival

National Flag Day Ceremony

Celebrate Flag Day right where it began in Waubeka, Wisconsin. This small town near Lake Michigan first celebrated Flag Day in 1885, when a school teacher worked with his students to commemorate the Stars and Stripes. Although Flag Day isn’t widely celebrated today, it continues to mark an annual tradition in Waubeka. This year’s event will include a parade, family fun and fireworks. June 22-24, 2018
The community of Defiance, Ohio, will celebrate summer “at the confluence of the rivers.” The town sits where two rivers meet, giving it a unique connection to its water resources. In honor of those water resources, Defiance will host RiverFest, complete with free kayak and pontoon rides on the rivers, art vendors, nature displays and more.
