You voted and this year’s “Indie Award” goes to All-Points Personal Transportation! With 5,718 votes, it’s no wonder these guys are the Independent Business of the Year.
All-Points gives back to their Raleigh, NC community by partnering with the Pretty In Pink Foundation, the USO and the Wounded Warrior Project to provide free transportation to individuals in need. They regularly transport breast cancer patients to and from treatment who might otherwise forego their appointments because they don’t have a ride. They also provide free transportation to our military veterans during events that recognize their service and sacrifice. As an independent business, All-Points works with Shop Local Raleigh to spread the word about buying local.
“We set out to be a different kind of company, knowing that it only takes 5 more minutes to put on a tie than it does a baseball cap and that good customer service doesn’t cost anything more to provide so we don’t charge more for it,” said Gregg Kunz, owner of All-Points. “Remembering the little things and going out of our way to make every client feel special and to guarantee a pleasant experience every time is what we want to be known for and what makes us different.”
As the 2012 Independent Business of the Year, All-Points will receive a new website, a STIHL equipment certificate, a 3 day/2 night trip to Virginia Beach, a plaque and a 5 minute video to be featured on our Youtube channel. Each semi-finalist will receive a free Premium Membership from Independent We Stand, as well as the honor of being recognized as one of the top 6 best small businesses in the country.
Thank you to everyone who showed their support by nominating a business, voting for a semi-finalist, and promoting the contest. We would also like to thank all of the businesses who participated in this year’s “Indie Awards.” Your stories are what inspire us and give the “buy local” movement so much meaning.
