Indie Acts of Kindness – Paint Factory Supports Students

As a business, The Paint Factory is dedicated to “taking the pain out of paint.” As a part of the Bozeman, Montana, community, The Paint Factory also takes some of the pain out of paying for college.

This fall, The Paint Factory is sending one local student back to college a little easier by awarding them a $2,000 scholarship to Montana State University. The scholarship is open to all MSU students in good academic standing, including incoming freshmen.

“As MSU alumni ourselves, we appreciate the value and importance of the education the school provides to local students,” says Jeff Keller, owner of The Paint Factory. “The MSU campus is just around the corner from our store, so we enjoy staying connected with the students and the community.”

The Paint Factory’s scholarship winner is selected by a random drawing, but the real excitement comes with its presentation ceremony.

“We actually present the scholarship award on-field at an MSU football game every year,” Jeff says. “It’s always a fun experience.” In addition to the award, the winner of the scholarship gets two club-level tickets to the football game.

The MSU scholarship symbolizes The Paint Factory’s ongoing commitment to the community. Since opening their doors in 2003, Jeff and his team have remained focused on putting the customer first, by offering high-quality products, statewide deliveries and professional tips.

By awarding the scholarship, The Paint Factory recognizes a significant need of the members of its community. The scholarship is not just a way to give back to the community; it’s a way for Jeff and his team to stay connected with customers, promote higher education and serve students in the best way possible.
