Every third Saturday in April, independently owned record stores around the world come together with artists to celebrate the art of music and the unique experience of visiting a mom and pop record store. This year marks the 7th annual Record Store Day on April 19, and you won’t want to miss out on the festivities.
Record Store Day aims to bring together music-lovers of all types to celebrate a shared passion for great music in its original form. Special vinyl and CD releases are made exclusively for the day and many indie record stores are known to host special performances, block parties and all-day cookouts. Every store plans their own events, so you’ll want to find a store near you and check out the list of new releases planned for the big day.
