Whether you’ve just taken over the family hardware business, or you’re a regular at the local coffee shop, we all have at least one small business that’s close to our hearts. Now, you can honor your go-to small business by nominating it for the 2014 National Small Business Week Awards.
Each May, the Small Business Administration leads National Small Business Week, dedicated to celebrating small businesses and the special impact they have on local communities and economies. As part of the celebration, the Small Business Administration awards outstanding small businesses and their owners with the National Small Business Week Awards. The 2014 National Small Business Week will take place from May 12 to May 16, but nominations for the annual awards are being accepted now – and for a limited time!
Nominations can be submitted online or by mail until January 17, 2014. Titles are awarded in more than ten categories, including Small Business Person of the Year, Small Business Exporter of the Year and the Women’s Business Center of Excellence Award.
Small businesses offer more than just the products on their shelves. They promote prosperity in the community by reinvesting money in the local economy, and they put a personal touch on the retail experience with their stellar customer service. For bettering our shopping experience and bettering our communities, they all deserve an award. Only a few will win the National Small Business Week Awards, but you can decide whom by nominating your favorite small business today.
